Apple in deal with Starbucks for iPod Touch and iPhone
Apple has announced that they are entering into a deal with Starbucks Corp. It would allow the owners of their iPods and iPhones to buy music from Apple’s wireless iTunes music store at their cafes.
Apple said that this service would be launched at more than 600 Starbucks stores in New York and Seattle on October 2.
Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs added in his statement: “We know a lot of people are going to be very happy with this new combination of coffee and iPods.”
The service would also be open for customers who bring in their own computers with iTunes application.
They would be able to use the Wi-Fi networks at Starbucks at no extra charge to access the store.
They would also be able to check the music being played at the cafe house and would be able to purchase it with a single click!
Looks like NBC Universal would not be too happy at their recently taken decision.
