Mahindra Scorpio Hybrid and Ingenio to launch next year

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that they are working hard to launch two new products in the Indian market next year.

The company aims to launch a hybrid model of their Scorpio SUV in the Indian market. They are also working on launching its indigenously developed SUV Ingenio in 2008.

M&M President (automotive sector) Pawan Goenka said in a statement on the ongoing developments: “Currently we are working on both a mild and a full hybrid of the Scorpio. A prototype will be running by January and we plan to introduce the same in the market in 2008 itself. The primary focus is on diesel engine for Ingenio.”

The company is also working hard on selling their new army off-roader, Axe, to the Indian and Israeli armies.

This vehicle is being tested by the Israeli Army. They plan to begin mass production of this vehicle once they get confirmed orders.
