Blackberry users now facing email issues

Research in Motion has confirmed that the users of their Blackberry service have been facing email issues.

A software glitch in their system caused this problem which shut down e-mail service for some BlackBerry users.

The company however said that no e-mails were lost in the shutdown.

It affected an unspecified number of customers in North America.

However, the users faced no problems with phone service and text messaging.

RIM further said in a statement that they are continuing to monitor the situation.

This problem also did not affect any of their BlackBerry Enterprise Server users.
