Apple updates iPod nano and launches iPod Classic
Apple replaced their iPod Video with a brand new range of iPod players named iPod Touch. The company also updated the iPod nano and the new iPod nano features a larger two-inch display with 204 pixels per inch.
Apple claims that the screen on the new iPod nano is 65% brighter than the previous generation and delivers 320 x 240 pixel resolution.
Users would now be able to use their iPod nano to watch their favorite movies, TV shows and music videos in the same resolution they currently enjoy on the video iPod.
It also come with an updated user interface which displays album artwork and photos. It also features cover flow to let the user surf through their albums.
Apple also launched the iPod Classic which is now available in two capacities: 80GB and 160GB.
The company said that this latest range of iPod delivers all the features customers love about their iPods in addition to improved user interface which includes Cover Flow and a new all-metal enclosure.
Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO said on the iPod Classic range: “The first iPod put 1,000 songs in your pocket, this new iPod classic can put 40,000 songs in your pocket. With a thinner, all-metal enclosure and an enhanced user interface, the iPod classic is ideal for people who want to hold everything on their iPod.”
