Vodafone to offer Palm Treo 500v in Europe
Vodafone has announced that they are collaborating with Palm to launch their latest smartphone Palm Treo 500v in the European market.
This new smartphone from Palm is based on their Treo 750v but is much cheaper with a refreshed interface.
This new phone would be launched in the market in October and it would be exclusive for Vodafone customers for a period of three months.
Vodafone spokeswoman Helen Brockett said in a statement that they would make available this device for free or for a small fee together with a 12- to 18-month contract in the U.K.
The device is powered with the recently launched Windows Mobile 6 Standard operating system. It also lacks support for the HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) protocol.
