European launch of iPhone? Apple UK Event scheduled for September 18
Apple has announced that they are going to hold an event in UK this coming September 18. This press event is likely to be the launching ceremony of the iPhone in the European market though there are no details available.
Apple has declined to comment on the details of the event and the invitation just says: “Mum is no longer the word.”
Media sources have already said that Germany’s T-Mobile Deutschland, France’s Orange SA and Britain’s O2 have signed deals with Apple for the launch of the iPhone in the European market.
Though, nothing has been confirmed to the media as yet.
Apple recently dropped the prices of the iPhone in the US market where they are now just selling a single mode with 8GB memory.
The European version is likely to feature advanced networking to support high speed data transfer. Nothing confirmed here as well.
