Sprint Nextel all set to launch Airave

US based mobile service provider Sprint Nextel has announced that they are all set to launch Airave device.

This device has been designed to boost wireless signals indoors and direct the calls over the Internet.

It would be offered initially in parts of Denver and Indianapolis. The company claims that the device would boost cell reception over an area of about 5,000 square feet and can handle up to three calls at once.

It would connect to the user’s existing broadband connection and would enable them to send unlimited calls through the Internet instead of over Sprint’s wireless network.

If the customer gets out of the device’s range, the call switches over to the mobile network without disconnection.

The device costs around USD $49.99 but the company would provide it at subsidized rates. Single user would be required to pay a USD 15 monthly fee. Families would be able to get it for USD 30 a month.
