Motorola showcases iTunes compatible Phone

As expected, the initial prototypes of the mobile phones being developed by Motorola, which are compatible with iTunes, have been displayed finally. Motorola executives displayed the new generation phones yesterday during a keynote at the International Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas. The phone mimics many features of the very popular digital music player iPod.

The mobile phone synchronizes with the computer and Apple’s iTunes music store pretty similarly to iPod. Moreover, it even features similar navigation style to access music as iPod does. This prototype mobile phone is one of the first devices Motorola plans to release in the coming months in collaboration with Apple which would be iTunes enabled. This would give them great advantage over other mobile companies as Apple has kept their store inaccessible from most outer companies until now.

Motorola however have not released any other information concerning the mobile device. Prices and availability of these devices in the market is not confirmed by the company. The critics expect these to be launched at the upcoming Macworld conference and expo. Initial rumors from Apple claimed that these devices should be out in the market in the first half of the current year.

Motorola’s effort into this field is a result of their partnership deal with Apple, which was signed in July last year. These devices would bring together two of the biggest markets, which cater to youth… Mobiles and portable digital music player. With iTunes being the most popular online music store out there, Motorola might strike gold with their phones.
