Apple iPhone in UK through O2
Apple has finally announced the UK launch of their iPhone mobile phone device. Apple iPhone would go on sale in the UK market on 9 November.
It would cost £269 for the 8GB model which comes to around USD 537. Not a very good deal for the customers in the British market.
Apple added that customers would be able to purchase the iPhone from the company itself or through O2 and The Carphone Warehouse.
Steve Jobs, Apple’s chief executive added in his statement: “US iPhone customer satisfaction is off the charts. We can’t wait to let UK customers get their hands on it and learn what they think of it.”
O2 would offer three tariff rates for the iPhone. These would be available at £35, £45 and £55 per month.
£35 package: 200 minutes of calls and 200 text messages
£45 package: 600 minutes and 500 text messages
£55 package: 1,200 minutes and 500 text messages
O2 added that all these packages would come with unlimited data usage policy subject to fair use policy. Apple iPhone owners in UK would also get free access to 7,500 Wi-Fi hotspots on The Cloud network.
