Nokia 6301 launched with unlicensed mobile access technology
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has announced the launch of their latest mobile phone product named Nokia 6301.
This mobile device from the company features unlicensed mobile access (UMA) technology.
Nokia said in a statement that the phone would be made available in the European market in the fourth quarter of 2007.
It is expected to be sold in this market at Euro 230 excluding operator subsidies and taxes.
The UMA technology available in this phone would allow the owners of the device to make calls over the Internet using unlicensed wireless network. Once they are out of that network, the call would switch over to the regular cellular connection.
