MTV launches Think social networking platform
MTV continues to expand their online presence with the launch of a new social platform named Thinkmtv.
This new platform has been sponsored by Case Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Goldhirsh Foundation and MCJ Foundation and promotes youth activism.
The company said that this new platform has been designed to become an online resource for social and political issues.
It would enable the web users to connect with each other with people who are related to similar social issues.
MTV President Christina Norman spoke about this new online destination: “We’ve only been able to devote a certain amount of time on air. The Think platform creates an umbrella to be able to talk about a number of issues at a time.”
MTV Vice President of Public Affairs Ian Rowe added: “It’s an issue of not knowing where to start. Global warming and genocide in Darfur issues are so huge it’s overwhelming.”
