Vodafone hoping for a future deal with Apple on iPhone
Vodafone is one of the surprising name missing from the Apple iPhone launch in the European market.
O2 would be launching the iPhone in Britain. T-Mobile would be offering it in the Germany. Orange has bagged the rights to sell the iPhone in France.
The company has also just launched their Indian operations where they have now renamed Hutch to Vodafone.
Vodafone Chief Executive Officer Arun Sarin has said in a statement that they are hoping to secure a deal with Apple in the future.
He said that they would definitely get the opportunity to negotiate with Apple within the next six to 12 months.
The company is disappointed with the lack of 3G technology in the iPhone and they are working on challenging it in the European market with several new products supporting advanced technologies.
