Porsche might assemble cars in India
Porsche has revealed that they are considering plans to assemble its cars in India. This would be a historic move for the company as they would for the first time in its history manufacture their car outside the German market.
This would mean that the company would make available more models in more numbers in the Indian market.
They are also expected to be priced lower considering assembling the units here would lower the taxation rates on them.
The cars could be assembled for export in the South Asian market as well. The company is also very excited about their plans to bring the GT and the Cayenne GTS in the Indian market.
They are currently working on getting their vehicle range homologated in India so that they can be sold here without any problems from the regulatory bodies.
