Starbucks giving away 50 million free digital songs
Coffee chain Starbucks recently collaborated with Apple Inc. to allow the owners of iPhone and the iPod Touch to get free wi-fi in their stores.
The company has now announced their plans to give away 50 million free digital songs to customers in all of its domestic coffee houses.
This would help them promote the Apple iTunes Wi-Fi service which is accessible from these stores.
The company would be making available as many as 1.5 million “Song of the Day” cards each day. This offer would continue from Oct. 2 to Nov. 7.
These cards would be for song tracks from artists including Paul McCartney, Joni Mitchell, Joss Stone, Dave Matthews, John Mayer, Annie Lennox and Band of Horses.
People with notebooks having the Apple iTunes application would also be able to make avail of this new offer.
