Microsoft gains 20 major advertising clients
Software giant Microsoft is on a mission to overtake Google to become a major force in online advertising.
However, they have a long way to go. But they are improving as they have just announced that they have added around 20 new advertising clients since the acquisition of online ad company aQuantive.
One of these deals is with the Associated Press’ Online Video Network. Some other networks are SmartBrief, Reunion.com and Entrepreneur.com.
CollegeHumor.com is also using Microsoft owned aQuantive’s Atlas AdManager. They joined the network in July this year.
The deal with AP is an important one. Jessica Hawk, director of the AP Online Video Network spoke on their collaboration with Microsoft: “The long-term strategy here is really getting into the syndication space.”
