Hyundai Getz Prime Diesel launched

Hyundai India has finally launched the diesel version of their premium hatchback model Getz Prime.

This is an important launch for the company as Maruti has taken away a large market share with their Swift Diesel variant.

The company said in a statement: “The diesel variant will provide the much needed economy for some our customers who travel long distances everyday.”

Hyundai India Managing Director H S Lheem added: “This 1.5 liter engine is quiet and extremely powerful and will enable our customers enjoy the performance of a power packed diesel engine”.

They would make available this car starting the first week of October. It would retail for Rs 5.69 lakh. The price is however much more than the comparable Swift Diesel which starts at around Rs. 5 Lakh for the basic model.
