LinkedIn to let user post photos on profile pages
LinkedIn has announced that they would now allow their members to post images on their profile pages.
The company has been avoiding providing such a facility as it considered that such features would put it in the same category as Facebook and other social networking sites.
It tries hard to maintain its professional networking and job-seeking destination on the web.
Adam Nash, LinkedIn’s senior director of products admitted that photos was the most demanded feature addition from their members and they would soon enable such a functionality.
They plan to allow members to post a single image only and head shots are recommended for best effect. Users would get the option to disable images while surfing the site so that HR people might not end up compromising on their anti-discrimination policies.
Members of the site would also get options to set the visibility option for their own images.
