Apple iPhone update messing up with unlocked units
Apple had warned that future iPhone updates could mess up the unlocked units and suggested against doing so.
And this has come true. The recently released iPhone update has indeed created problems for the users with unlocked iPhones.
Online reports suggest that depending upon the method used to unlock the iPhone, the update has managed to create issues for the units.
Some of the devices would not work saying that the SIM card is not valid. While on other units, third party applications have stopped working.
Apple is in an exclusive contract with AT&T to offer the iPhone in the US market. The phones are supposed to work with approved AT&T Sims but third party tools were released to get past this limitation.
