HTC has announced that they have already sold more than 800,000 units of their recently launched HTC Touch mobile phone.

This phone was somewhat aimed at the Apple iPhone as it features an interface which is totally dependent on the touch screen with few physical buttons.

HTC launched the Touch mobile phone in Europe and Asia in June this year. HTC Chief Executive Peter Chou said in a statement: “This is better than I expected … We feel very good about our success.”

HTC also launched a new phone featuring the Touch brand name. This new device is named HTC Touch Dual. It comes with a keyboard in addition to the on screen keyboard.

Vassili le Moigne, business manager for Windows Mobile in Central and Eastern Europe spoke about the success of HTC Touch: “At the moment, the HTC Touch is one of the most successful to use the Windows Mobile. It’s very very popular.”

Mm… 800,000 eh? Sounds impressive at first? What price point? Did they give them away free?

I paid $600.00 for my iphone and it feels like your holding a diamond.

only one real phone out there…and I have it already.
