Microsoft Zune 2 could be launched today

Market reports state that Microsoft could launch their next update to their not so successful Zune media player today.

Microsoft Zune was launched by the company to challenge the domination of Apple iPod in the market.

However, it was not so successful and with Apple launching the fabulous Apple iPod Touch recently, they need something special to impress prospective customers.

Reports state that Bill Gates would be present at this media event where the company would be launching the Zune 2.0 player.

These new players are likely to be Flash based and would support Wi-Fi as the first one. The timing would be perfect with the holiday season coming up.
