Hyundai Elantra no longer being manufactured in India
Hyundai Motor India has confirmed that they have now stopped the production of their Elantra sedan.
The car has failed to generate much sales for the company in the Indian market as buyers preferred to go for other brands including Skoda and Honda.
Hyundai is now considering launching a new model to replace this model in the market. H.S. Lheem, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India confirmed this fact in a statement: “Hyundai Motor Company has already stopped production of the model.”
Market sources state that they were selling just a few units in a month.
Hyundai is also studying possibilities of reworking on their strategies related to their Sonata model in the market which has lost its fizz with the launch of new models from rival companies.
They are currently scheduled to launch their Pa small car sometime next month.
