eBay bans Jajah VoIP service buttons from its site
VoIP service provider Jajah is not happy after eBay disallowed their members to use their web buttons to enable interaction with potential customers.
These web buttons provided by Jajah would have enabled the two parties to initiate a VoIP call from the website itself.
Incidentally, eBay currently is already providing a similar service which makes use of their Skype technology.
However, they are justifying the ban saying it violates the eBay policy related to the inclusion of links in listings.
A company spokesperson added that the service requires all interactions between its buyers and sellers to take place on their platform itself.
Jajah has advised the users of their buttons to avoid placing them on eBay to avoid any issues. Jajah CEO Trevor Healy said in a statement: “We don’t want to upset eBay, nor do we want our users to get their listings deleted.”
