Samsung SGH-J750 and SGH-A401 powered with Broadband chips
Broadcom Corp has revealed that the South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is now shipping mobile phones powered using their chips.
These phones are 3G capable and would allow the user to surf the Web and download data from the Internet at faster speeds.
These are going to be sold in markets like Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia.
Company representative Yossi Cohen added in a statement: “The combined market share of those two companies (Nokia and Samsung) represents a significant market opportunity.”
Samsung revealed that they are using Broadcom chips in their SGH-J750 and SGH-A401 mobile phones.
This is good news for the market as it reduces the dependency of mobile phone makers on market leader Qualcomm.
