Sony launches HD Bravia LCD TV range in India

Japanese tech giant Sony has said that they are in talks with media companies to start generating HD content for broadcasting on Indian televisions.

The company has just launched their HD Bravia LCD TV range in New Delhi.

Sony India Managing Director, Masaru Tamagawa said in a statement: “We expect high definition broadcasting in India to start by 2009 and now Sony is aggressively approaching broadcasting companies for content creation as it has all the equipments required.”

The company launched six new series comprising 15 models of LCD TVs for the festive season.

Sony India further said that they have now earmarked $35 million for marketing and advertising spend for this year.
