eBay Neighborhoods: Social networking with shopping
Online e commerce giant eBay has announced the launch of Neighborhoods service on the website.
It is a basically a social networking feature which would enable people with similar interests to form groups.
They would be able to post photos, product reviews, tips and responses.
This is one of the several new features eBay has introduced in the recent times to keep the users interested in the service which continues to face tough competition from other retailers including Amazon.
eBay spokesman Hani Durzy said in a statement: “We knew we had to change things internally because we couldn’t innovate with the effectiveness or speed we needed.”
Jamie Iannone, an eBay vice president in charge of buyer experience added: “People who are passionate about certain brands, trends, celebrities or products have been discovering and trading with one another for years. Neighborhoods makes this even easier.”
