HTC Touch from Spring Nextel coming up
Sprint Nextel might not admit it but the launch of Apple iPhone from AT&T has created a big problem for them.
Apple iPhone has become a best seller in the US market and a lot of customers are said to have left Sprint to get it from AT&T.
Sprint now aims to bring a potential rival to the iPhone in the form of HTC Touch.
HTC Touch is expected to go on sale in the US market next month and it also features a touchscreen similar to the iPhone.
However, market analysts do not believe that the HTC Touch would prevent more customers from leaving iPhone despite being a cheaper alternative.
Current Analysis analyst Avi Greengart spoke about the Touch: “It gives Sprint a strong competitive response to the iPhone even if it won’t convince somebody who specifically wants an iPhone to desist.”
