Asus Eee PC a bit hit in Taiwan
Asustek Computer has just launched a low priced mobile computer named Eee PC in the market.
And market sources suggest that the device was a best seller on the launch day in the Taiwan market.
The device has been designed for kids and elderly people. Asus is also likely to market it in developing markets.
The company did not reveal on how many units they sold on the first day of making it available in the retail market.
It comes powered with a 900MHz Intel Celeron M processor, 512MB of DDR2 DRAM and a 4GB flash drive.
It also comes loaded with a built-in camera, speakers and a microphone. The system comes preloaded with several applications including Skype, Firefox and links to Google Docs.
