Nokia N810 Internet Tablet launched
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has announced their latest mobile device N810 Internet Tablet.
This is essentially an upgraded version of their existing wireless multimedia device which features no telephony capabilities.
It has been designed to become a full fledged internet access device and comes with support for web services like Google, Skype, Facebook and Flickr.
It supports internet connectivity through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology.
It has been priced at around USD 479 and would come with built-in maps and satellite navigation.
Nokia N810 would also come loaded with a high-resolution camera, instant messaging, and a 10-gigabyte memory card.
Incidentally, market analysts believe that the device is targeted at the Apple iPod Touch device which has similar capabilities but no calling ability.
The device is powered with a OS based on Linux and comes loaded with a web browser based on Mozilla engine. It also comes with Adobe Flash 9 plug-in for best compatibility with today’s interactive websites.
