Companies promoting the WiMax technology have something to cheer about now. U.N. telecommunications agency has now given its approval to the technology to become a global standard for mobile devices.
With this, WiMax now has a real chance to become the standard to power the next generation of high-speed wireless Internet access.
This announcement is now likely to boost the adoption of WiMax technology throughout the world.
WiMax stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access.
