Google Health to be online early next year
Search engine giant Google has been working on a Health related portal since quite sometime.
Google has now confirmed that the Google Health service would be online by early next year.
The timing becomes crucial now considering Microsoft has already launched their own Health service titled Microsoft HealthVault.
Marissa Mayer, Google’s head of search said in a statement on their upcoming plans: “If you look at health care, there’s already a huge user need, people are already using Google more than any other tool on the Web to find health information. And the health care industry generates a huge amount of information every year. It’s a natural core competency for us, to understand how to organize all that data.”
Most of the features of the service are expected to be available free of cost. The company might charge for health care services and applications.
