Allied Computers International has announced that they are now planning to launch even cheaper laptops in the Indian market.
The company is already selling notebook computer for Rs.19,999. They are now aiming at products priced at around Rs. 15000.
ACi is also planning to open their own showrooms all over India in addition to entering into deals with supermarkets and malls.
Also planned is a brand new manufacturing unit in Thane to develop laptops here in India.
ACi’s chairman-cum-managing director Hirji Patel said in a statement: ‘Now, the hostility to laptops in the Indian market has disappeared, customers are choosing a laptop over a PC since the price barrier between them has been erased’.
