India prefers Sony-Ericsson phones over Nokia and Motorola

Nokia might be the market leader when it comes to selling mobile phones in India. But Sony Ericsson customers are the most satisfied lot.

The company emerged as the winner of the overall satisfaction survey by mobile handset users.

Motorola came second with Nokia coming at third spot. This would disappoint the market leaders especially after the recent battery replacement mess.

Motorola emerged as the most improved brand consistently on satisfaction over the past three years.

However, the survey also found out that overall satisfaction with mobile phone makers has dropped in the recent years.

Kapil Dev Singh, Country Manager, IDC India spoke on this survey: “The mobile handsets with higher memory and good entertainment features are still priced quite high. The entry-level phones are relatively poor on these parameters contributing to decline in satisfaction scores.”
