Space shuttle Discovery launched successfully
NASA successfully launched the space shuttle Discovery yesterday. The launch was successful and came despite the concerns related to a chunk of ice discovered on its fuel tank.
Discovery was launched to the space at 11.38am local time in Florida. This is the 120th mission for the NASA’s Space Shuttle program.
Discovery itself is on its 34th flight. NASA currently has another mission planned before the end of the year.
NASA said that the current mission would see five different astronauts making space walks.
The shuttle is also carrying to the space the Harmony module which would be attached to the International Space Station.
