Google considering partnering on Spectrum Bid
Search engine giant Google has said that they are considering partnering another company to bid in the upcoming auction of the 700-megahertz wireless spectrum.
The bidding would begin in January and is highly awaited by the telecom companies in the US.
Google has incidentally already said that they are ready to commit up to around $4 billion to bid on the spectrum.
Market analysts have said that this would be a good move by the company if they manage to partner a company capable of managing a telecom network.
Google Inc. Chief Executive Eric Schmidt spoke on this new development: “The outcome is a platform upon which these new applications can be used in a mobile context, and to us that is the Holy Grail.”
