Bajaj to play an important role in Nissan-Renault cheap car project

Bajaj Auto is going to play an important role in the under consideration cheap car project from Nissan Renault.

The Indian two wheeler manufacturer would be involved in the development and manufacturing of the car.

They would also be playing a major role in its marketing and distribution. Bajaj has an excellent network around the country and this would benefit the three companies.

However, they would not be involved in other higher end products from Nissan in the Indian market. Nissan is hunting for a partner to launch their other vehicles.

Renault is already working with Mahindra in India for their Logan project.
