Intel’s new plant in Arizona starts manufacturing
Microprocessor industry giant Intel has announced that manufacturing has now begun at their first 45-nm fab.
This unit is located in Chandler, Ariz. This plant of Intel would be manufacturing their first generation of 45-nm microprocessors.
The company added that this new plant would employ around 1000 workers.
Intel has already been manufacturing small quantities of these new generation of processors at their unit in Oregon.
This new plant is the first place where these chips are being manufactured in bulk quantities.
The US based company further said that they are now seeking Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) factory status.
