McAfee Inc. acquiring ScanAlert Inc. for $51 million
Security software maker McAfee has said that they are now acquiring ScanAlert Inc. for $51 million
This deal would further enhance their security products offering. McAfee would be paying in cash for this deal.
ScanAlert specializes in providing security services to web sites. They scan more than 75,000 customer Web sites on a daily basis checking for any security vulnerability.
This gives these web sites the company’s Hacker Safe seal of approval. This helps the web services to boost customer confidence.
McAfee said that they would be paying an additional $24 million if this new division meets some financial targets.
