Asustek to launch Eee PC in USA and Europe
Asustek Computer has announced that they are going to launch their Linux powered Eee mobile computer in both USA and European markets.
They are also planning to start offering a Windows OS powered machine by the end of the current year.
The Asustek Eee PC has been designed to serve as a low cost computing machine for developing nations.
However, it can work nicely as a second machine at homes for kids and elderly.
It weighs less than a KG and comes with a 7-inch LCD screen. It also features wireless Internet connectivity.
The machine is already being sold in several nations in Asia and has been priced at around USD 340.
The current model comes powered with Xandros Linux operating system.
