Toyota Corolla 10th generation model showcased
Japanese automaker Toyota has showcased their 10th generation Corolla edition for the 2009 model year.
Corolla is a best seller for the company and a very crucial product as they aim to displace GM as the world’s largest automaker.
The first model was launched in Japan way back in 1966. Since then they have sold more than 30 million units worldwide.
Toyota said that the latest edition has been designed to be sportier. It features a larger interior, wider chassis and a more economical and powerful 1.8-liter engine.
The car is expected to give an impressive 27 miles per gallon mileage in city driving. It improves to 35 miles per gallon on highways. The engine provides 132 horsepower.
