Intel Santa Rosa now powering latest Apple MacBooks

Apple is now shipping their MacBooks with the recently launched Intel Santa Rosa platform.

With this, they have also boosted the processing power of the top end MacBook machines.

The Apple MacBook is now available with a faster 2.6-GHz processor for an additional USD 250.

The top end model also comes loaded with a 250 GB hard disk drive.

The company however also continues to offer the cheaper editions equipped with 2.2 GHz and 2.5 GHz Intel processors.

This Intel Santa Rosa platform also comes equipped with a Turbo Memory feature which the company claims improve hard-drive performance with a flash-based cache.
