Microsoft launches Search Server 2008 and Search Server Express 2008
Microsoft has now entered the enterprise search market with the launch of two new products.
The company introduced Search Server 2008 and Search Server Express 2008.
These two products are based on their technology pulled out of SharePoint Server 2007.
The Microsoft Search Server Express 2008 is available as a free download in a release candidate version.
It is similar to the paid product but is restricted to a single installation.
Microsoft aims to make the final versions of both the products available in the market sometime next year.
