Nokia could join Google Mobile OS alliance
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has said that they might consider joining the Google’s just launched mobile platform.
Google announced their Android platform to take on rival products in the segment to boost Internet usage on mobile devices.
Nokia currently uses Symbian based mobile platform for their phones.
A Nokia spokesperson Kari Tuutti said on this new development: “It’s not ruled out at all. If we would see this as beneficial we would think about taking part in it. We should never close any doors.”
Incidentally Nokia owns 48 percent of Symbian and they are technically a challenger to the Google technology.
HTC has already announced that they are working on mobile phones powered with Google technology.
