Hewlett Packard to no longer focus on digital camera market
Hewlett Packard is a smaller player in the digital camera market. The company has now said that they are shifting their focus from manufacturing the devices to concentrating on providing home photo printing and online photo services.
HP now plans to find a company which would manufacture, design and distribute digital cameras under the HP brand name.
They are going to sell their digital camera products till the end of the year and are hoping to find a partner by next year.
The long term aim is to expand their focus on their Print 2.0 strategy through which they plan to boost its Web-based printing services and tools for digital content creation.
