Vodafone and Nokia to work together on mobile services
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia is now going to work with the world’s largest mobile service provider Vodafone.
The two companies announced that they have now signed on a content and services deal.
This deal is centered around the recently announced Nokia’s Ovi platform. The two companies would now be providing their customers access to services including Internet services, content and browsing.
Vodafone would as part of this deal get exclusive access to some Nokia mobile phones in their markets.
Vodafone said in a statement on this deal: “This is beneficial to both parties. The integrated Vodafone suite of services, combined with Ovi on the Nokia handsets will mean we can bring our customers a much wider choice of content at the touch of a button. Customers want a different range of services which we can now offer with Nokia—it was a logical next step in our relationship.”
