Walt Disney confirm plans for Japan

US based entertainment company Walt Disney has now confirmed their plans to enter the mobile phone market in Japan.

They would be working in collaboration with Softbank to launch their phones and mobile services.

The two companies would work together on several fronts like new mobile devices, content for the mobile devices and marketing.

Masayoshi Son, Softbank’s chairman and CEO spoke about their deal with Disney: “Disney brings its strong brand and legacy of developing great entertainment with broad appeal to our mutual venture.”
