In Rainbows to get a regular CD launch
Radiohead surprised the market by releasing their latest album on the Internet. The band has now announced that the album would also see a regular launch on Audio CD.
This CD edition would be launched on January 2. The North American launch would be handled by ATO Records Group.
It would feature the band’s brand: TBD Records.
The music band shocked the market by separating ways with EMI. They launched their music online. The innovative aspect was that the downloading users were given the option to pay a price of their choice.
The experiment was somewhat successful with around 38% of the downloading audience paying an average USD 6 for the album.
