Bebo users to get free access to videos from CBS, BSkyB and the BBC
Social networking service Bebo has said that they have signed up deals with a couple of media companies including CBS, BSkyB and the BBC.
These companies would provide their users access to free video content. This new service would be supported through online advertising.
Bebo further said that their Open Media would allow their members to store their favorite video and music content within their profile pages.
They would also be able to share these videos with their friends on the network.
Bebo President Joanna Shields added in a statement: “Every media company is looking for better ways to deliver their content online. By opening our platform to media owners, who gain free access to our community while retaining control over their brand, their content and their revenues, we are creating valuable new inventory for advertisers and a new business model for the entire media industry.”
