Samsung’s BD-P1400 is no comparison to HD-A35.

Only one Blue-ray player Pioneer BDP-95FD ($1000) is at the same level as HD-A35, be able to output bittream of Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD MA for lossless audio. The rest of the Blu-ray are OK in video only.

I have both PS3 (60 gig) and HD-A35. Video and audio from PS3's Blu-ray are so far behind HD-A35.

So finally HD-DVD tries to catch up to Blu-Ray with all of the features such as 1080p/24fps video and the latest audio codecs.

Notice that the price is $500 which is at the same price or in some cases (Samsung's BD-P1400) more expensive than Blu-Ray.

Yet since this player is released with two lesser models, HD-DVD followers are spinning the story stating that the prices (of the cheaper HD models) are much more affordable than Blu-Ray.

Blu-Ray player prices continue to fall, yet HD releases a third generation player at top price? It seems like they walk into every room backwards.

It's not 1080p.

HD-DVD movies are in 1080p. Why would I buy a player that doesn't play in 1080p???

Because I wanna buy DVDs for $30.00?

Buying this would be moronic!

Thanks, but No thanks!
