Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid named Green Car of the Year
General Motors might not be a big name when it comes to hybrids and environment friendly cars. But they are on the right path if the latest news is to be believed.
Their Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid has now won the”Green Car of the Year” award at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
GM is scheduled to bring this car to the market in early 2008. It would then become the first full-size hybrid SUV in the market.
This hybrid SUV uses the system being co-developed by GM, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Chrysler.
Green Car publisher Ron Cogan said in a statement: “People don’t think green when SUVs are concerned and for generally good reason, since SUVS often get poor fuel economy. Chevrolet’s Tahoe Hybrid changes this dynamic with a fuel efficiency improvement of up to 30 percent.”

About

The Chevy Tahoe Hybrid.
At $51k who needs it. I have a 77′ Firebird that gets 21 MPG and it looks nicer too. The problem is getting away from fossil fuels and high cost.
Making another rich man’s vehicle is a worthless venture
to everyone, but the GM people.
Green Award, sure as in Green backs.
