Beatles music could be available on digital media stores by next year
Paul McCartney has said in a statement that he expects the Beatles music to be available for download from digital media stores starting next year.
They are one of the very few popular music groups to have not made their music available for sale on the net.
He said: “It’s all happening soon. Most of us are all sort of ready. The whole thing is primed, ready to go — there’s just maybe one little sticking point left, and I think it’s being cleared up as we speak, so it shouldn’t be too long. It’s down to fine-tuning, but I’m pretty sure it’ll be happening next year, 2008.”
Incidentally, music by individual members of the group is now available on sale on various stores online.
